The Mercedes-Benz SL 550 Roadster is powered by a 4.7-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing approximately 449 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. This engine delivers strong and smooth acceleration across the rev range.

The roadster accelerates from 0–100 km/h in around 4.3 seconds, making it both quick and refined. Power is delivered through a 9-speed automatic transmission, ensuring seamless gear changes and efficient performance.
