The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta represents one of Ferrari’s most important front-engine V12 grand tourers. It combines a naturally aspirated V12 engine with rear-wheel drive, advanced aerodynamics, and a lightweight performance-focused construction. Ferrari designed the F12 Berlinetta to deliver extreme performance while maintaining the long-distance usability expected from a grand touring Ferrari.
Today, the F12 Berlinetta remains highly relevant among enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate naturally aspirated Ferrari V12s and the character they deliver.
Ferrari has built its identity around high-performance V12 engines for decades. The F12 Berlinetta continues that tradition with a front-mounted 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12.
The engine produces around 740 hp and 690 Nm of torque. It sends power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
That combination creates a driving experience built around engine response, high-revving performance, and rear-wheel-drive balance. Unlike a turbocharged engine, the naturally aspirated V12 builds its character through revs and throttle response.
The F12 Berlinetta can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3.1 seconds. Ferrari quoted a top speed above 340 km/h.
The engine can rev beyond 8,000 rpm, giving the F12 one of its defining characteristics: an intense and linear power delivery.
Ferrari also worked extensively on weight distribution and chassis development. The F12 uses a transaxle layout, placing the gearbox at the rear to help achieve a balanced weight distribution.
